CME ACTIVITIES
Brief report of CME-Updates on Dermatology
We had conducted the CME-Updates on Dermatology in conference hall, PMSSY Building, Govt Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital Salem on 10.1.2013. The CME was inaugurated by our Dean Dr.R.Vallinayagam M.D., Govt Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital; Salem by 9 A.M. The welcome speech was given by HOD of STD Department Dr.S.Kalaivani MD,Organizing secretary .The Presidential address was given by our Dean and felicitation was done by Medical Superintendent Dr.Anbalagan MD, Vice Principal Dr.Ramesh MD and Resident Medical Officer Dr.Raj Ashok MS. The vote of thanks was given by our Medical education coordinator Dr.Uthirakumar MS.
We had the speakers (1) Prof. Dr.Manoharan of Madras Medical College& Rajiv Gandhi Govt General Hospital, Chennai,(2)Prof. Dr.Dhanalakshmi of Madras Medical College& Rajiv Gandhi Govt General Hospital, Chennai.(3)Prof.Dr.GeethaRani of Madurai Medical College & Govt Rajaji Medical College Hospital, Madurai.(4)Prof. Dr.Ramasamy of Coimbatore Medical College & Hospital, Coimbatore and (5)Prof.Dr.Anandhan of Department Of Dermatology, Govt Stanley Medical College Hospital, Chennai.
The Topics discussed were (1) Cutaneous markers in Internal Malignancy by Dr.Manoharan.K. (2)Skin and Diabetes by Dr.U.R.Dhanalakshmi, (3) Emergencies in Dermatology by Dr.Geetharani, (4) Misdiagnosis in Dermatology by Dr.P.P.Ramasamy and (5) Neonatal Dermatology by Dr.V.Anandhan.
As many as 279 Delegates and Faculty members both from our Medical College, Vinayaga Mission Medical College & Hospital, Salem and Sri Gokulam Hospital, Salem participated in the CME.The total duration of academic session was 5 hours. High tea and lunch were provided in between the academic session. We concluded the CME by 4 P.M. with vote of thanks by Dr.V.Ravichandran MD, Organizing Chairman.
